About
Arthur's Acres
Our Farm
We are family farmers in South Mississippi raising over 30 KuneKune pigs on our 20 acre farm. Our goal is to bring awareness to the breed and their benefits, feed our family and community and create positive variation in our market, while providing a happy and healthy life for our pigs.
Our Story
Local Family Farm
We are a family of four, Dad (Wade) Mom, (Elizabeth) and two boys, Weston and Adrian. We began our journey in pig farming in 2021 after a life-long love of pigs that began with my (Elizabeth's) grandparents Arthur and Leona Renadette. Arthur was a hardworking man managing 3 jobs to take care of his family of 7. One of his jobs included running a farm to feed everyone. His farm included cattle, pigs, goats and produce. My grandmother would lovingly recall taking care of piglets, particularly when one mother pig was unable to feed her babies. She took over the feeding responsibilities and enjoyed all the happy squeals and snuggles with the piglets. After my grandfather passed away in 2020 we wanted to preserve his memory and continue his legacy and love of farming. We decided if we were going to raise pigs the only option in our minds was The Kune Kune pig. They are family friendly, easy to manage, pasture grazers with adorable personalities. We started with our trio of piglets, Mr. Pickles, Pricilla and Mabel and since then our farm has grown to maintain over 30 pigs at a time. We have enhanced our breeding program to grow lines of meat pigs and lines of pet and show quality pigs. We love to share everything we know about the Kune Kune breed. We can also help you get started with raising your own, from tractor work and/or fencing to watering containers and pig huts, training techniques for pet owners and much more!
