  • What makes Kune Kune Pigs special?
    KuneKune, pronounced “kooney kooney”, is Maori for “fat and round,” which describes their typically short and round-bodied appearance. They are the only truly grazing pig, being able to survive on grasses alone. They are very friendly and gentle on fencing, they rarely root up the ground, unless forage is scarce.
  • What is their typical life span?
    Kune Kune pigs can generally live 15-20yrs with proper care.
  • What do I feed my Kune Kune pig
    Kune Kune pigs will eat natural forage such as grasses, weeds, nuts, fruits, vegetables and some small animals like snakes, lizards, and bugs. You may also feed a mini pig food (for pets) or a sow and pig feed as additional supplement. It is important that they are able to access clean water at all times. Never give them salt as this can cause salt toxicity, dehydration from lack of clean water can also cause the salt toxicity and may be fatal to your pig
